Replacing a Designated License Manager

Follow these procedures if you need to change the DLM to another application group member. Ideally, you should decommission the current DLM (first procedure) before assigning the new one (second procedure). Use the third procedure if the current DLM was offline (perhaps for repairs), and then returned to service AFTER the new DLM was assigned. In such a scenario, neither DLM will not function properly until the original DLM has gone through the decommission procedure.

1) Decommissioning a DLM before assigning its replacement

  1. Go to AMC and clear the Hardware ID for the GARID.

  1. Disable System Data Synchronization in the System Options form on the old DLM.

  2. Reboot the DLM.

  3. Navigate to the Application Group Licensing form.
